Privacy policy
KMALL09 (kmall09.com.au, "we"/"us") handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Personal information we collect
To process orders, delivery and enquiries we collect your name, contact details (email and phone), delivery and billing address, and order history. Payment details (e.g. card numbers) are not stored by us and are handled directly by PCI DSS-compliant payment processors. Cookies, device and usage information may be collected when you use the site.
2. How we use it
To fulfil orders, deliver and process refunds; to respond to enquiries; to improve our stock and services; to comply with legal obligations; and, where you consent, for marketing.
3. Disclosure and service providers
We share information, only as needed to fulfil your order, with service providers such as couriers, payment processors and our store/IT platform (Shopify). They process it only for our purposes and may not use it otherwise. We may disclose information to authorities where required by law.
4. Overseas disclosure
Our store platform and cloud providers (e.g. Shopify) may hold servers outside Australia (for example, the USA), so your information may be stored or processed overseas. We take reasonable steps consistent with APP 8.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to provide functionality, analyse usage and (with consent) advertising. You can refuse cookies in your browser, but some features may be limited.
6. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected and any legally required period, then securely destroy it.
7. Access, correction and contact
You may request access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you. For privacy enquiries, requests or complaints, contact our customer service (kmall09.com.au). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC, oaic.gov.au).
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; updates take effect when posted.
