About the Book
He is a person who wants to share what is truly necessary.
In recent years, tens of thousands of people have become fans of Chairman Kim Seung-ho. Meeting the head of a global group, who travels between Korea and various countries around the world, starting from the US, and a multi-billionaire about to be listed on NASDAQ, was truly exhilarating. For ordinary people, that event (?) became a long-lasting memory. Some were thrilled, some found it amazing, and some took him as their mentor or teacher.
However, any celebrity who once dominated an era will see their popularity fade and eventually be forgotten by the public. What does the wealth of even the richest person have to do with me!
But sincerity and truthfulness tend to capture the hearts of the world and the people in it. Chairman Kim Seung-ho allocated and made time, staying in Korea solely at his own expense, meeting not only entrepreneurs and business owners, but also children, young people, and homemakers—anyone who wanted to live a better life. Since 2016, he has made dedicated efforts to stay in Korea, teaching young entrepreneurs in various fields at Chung-Ang University's Lifelong Education Center, staying by their side as a teacher sharing their concerns. He was a brother, a mentor, and a teacher. A person who loves to embrace others as family, he also became an uncle to dozens of people.
His inner self is revealed in the various titles he is called. Some blindly trust and like him. However, until he was almost 40, he was a poor immigrant father who drove around in an old truck, one arm tanned from the sun, carrying fruits and vegetables to sell that day. He was a person who spent days when, even with his elderly parents, siblings, himself, and his wife working hard all week, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. He deeply understood what poverty was, how cruel money could be, and how it could make people miserable. That's why he had to seize the opportunity that came late in his life and was a father who absolutely had to break the cycle of poverty in his generation. This resolve and experience of poverty made him grow into a "manager" of money. He became a top-tier wealthy person, something few could achieve. He put all his effort into creating seed money, understood the properties and characteristics of money, and became a true money manager, multiplying it tens of thousands of times.
He is a person who intends to share this realized principle of wealth with many people. This is because he sees his younger self, who wanted to protect his family by gaining wealth, reflected in them.
Can I ever become rich?
Some people are reluctant to talk about money and dismiss it as undignified, but the author argues that such an act of devaluing money is hypocritical. This is because, considering the importance of money in life, no one can be free from its influence. Therefore, the author defines the characteristics of money in a very unique way, calling it a person.
If you love money too much and keep it locked in your house, it will try to get out whenever it has a chance and tell other money that its owner is a miser, so don't come. It will not cooperate in making rich those who do not respect it. Money used for valuable causes and good deeds will be moved by such treatment and will bring other money to its owner, while money used in bars or gambling will turn away in misery.
Money is an entity with emotions, so you should love it but not excessively. You should hold it when you have it, but let it go when it's time, and never ignore or treat it carelessly. Instead, you should respect and be grateful for it. To people with such an attitude, money offers imaginative opportunities, approaches them, and tries to protect them. Fortunately, money holds no grudges, so regardless of past actions, if you respect it from today, it will forget everything and respect you.
Money that falls into the hands of those in power or nouveau riche through kidnapping, violence, or illegal means will always wait for the day to escape or harm its owner to get out, so you should abandon any thought of befriending dangerous money. If you use the money you have in dignified ways, for loved ones, and for causes worth protecting, the money watching will also call in more friends. You won't become a slave to money, and money isn't your possession, so you will coexist in a relationship of deep mutual respect rather than a superior-subordinate one.
There's an old saying, "Give a man a fishing rod, not a fish." We are all in different circumstances. Our intellectual levels are different, and so are our financial situations. Therefore, a method that benefited someone else may not benefit us. Through this book, "The Attributes of Money," we should learn how to become a farmer who creates, protects, and cultivates money.
