How to study English conversation?
Talking a lot with foreigners doesn't necessarily improve your skills. You can only speak simple sentences. While infants can learn English without grammatical understanding, beyond that, it's impossible to speak intermediate or advanced English without grammatical understanding. Grammar for speaking, not grammar for analyzing writing, is essential. You need to understand its structure and practice by substituting words to internalize it.
There are hundreds, even thousands, of patterns collected without grammar, but about 100 grammar-centered structures are sufficient. In this book, even if they are easy but often mistaken, you can master grammar patterns through training for third-person singular, tense, 5 forms, prepositions, auxiliary verbs, infinitives, participles, conjunctions, and relative pronouns, even without knowing the grammatical terms.
Once you master grammar patterns, you can understand English overall, and your confidence will grow. Your skills will improve even if you watch American dramas with English subtitles or without subtitles. After that, improving your English skills is just a matter of time.
