Kamut: The Ancient Egyptian Supergrain
Kamut, which resembles elongated oats, is a type of wheat.
Having been with humanity since ancient Egypt, Kamut boasts a deep-rooted cultivation history.
It was even named among the '50 Healthiest Foods' by Time Magazine in 2015,
and is now popular as a supergrain.
It is rich in various nutrients, including selenium, lutein, zinc, and dietary fiber.
The chewy texture that bursts in your mouth is similar to corn.
The savory flavor that spreads as you chew is as rich as that of nuts.
After soaking it thoroughly, mix it with rice to make rice, or prepare a soft porridge.
It can also be used as drinking water by boiling it instead of barley.

How to Cook Rice
- Soak Kamut for at least half a day, then mix white rice and Kamut in a 1:1 ratio.
2. Add water to about 1cm above the level of the white rice and Kamut.
* When cooking with an electric rice cooker, simply press the cook button (for white rice).
3. When cooking in a pot, cook over high heat with the lid open.
Once the water gradually reduces, cover the lid and let it steam over low heat for about 5 minutes to finish.
*If it's not yet fully cooked, add about 2T of water and let it steam.
Once cooked, mix the rice thoroughly from top to bottom to release the steam.
